A downloadable game

A Roleplaying Game of Multi-Genre Supercrime.

You are a Villain. You use your powers to take what you want, fight for what you believe in, and look good while doing it. Do you want to free all the test animals from The Kennel’s nightmarish labs? Do you want to burn the capitalist techno-hellscape of Petal Sprawl to the ground? Do you want to just get filthy rich?

You can have it all, if you bring your powers to bare and take it. But who are you?

You might be a genetic freak on the run, a demon from the pits of hell, or a wizard with a staff in one hand and a gun in the other. You could also simply be an ordinary person, relying on your wits and an experimental death ray in a world of aliens and monsters.  No matter who you are, you have an edge, and you delight in the vices that fuel it.

But here’s the thing: Villains lose. They get arrested, and get the shit kicked out of them. But they get back up, they get away, and they keep scheming.

Sometimes, they actually win. Will you?

Bay of Villains is a Forged in the Dark game based on Sage LaTorra's The Doomed, expanded and modified to fit my self indulgent vision. This is a passion project for me, and I intend to iterate on it as time goes on.

So far includes:

- New actions, abilities and items for the Brain, Demon, Master, Shift, and  Stray Titan (formerly Strange Visitor), as well as 3 new playbooks: The killer Merc, magical Rogue Mage, and enchanting Siren.

- Updated and adapted Crews: Assassins, Cult, Insurgency, Shadows and Trouble for Hire, plus a new Crew type: "Heroes".

- Customized rules for rituals and crafting, as well as a plethora of crazy items and poisons.

- A demented setting and full list of factions, based on an alternate history version of the California Bay Area. Tear your way through four genre bending districts: a corporate dystopia, Gothic urban fantasy, high tech normalcy (ie: Eureka), and a semi-aquatic urban wasteland. Do battle with gangsters, wizards, heroes, the cops, and Kaiju, among many more bizarre factions.

Bay Of Villains is a fan project and not officially sanctioned by John Harper or Evil Hat Productions.

Blades in the Dark is property of John Harper and One Seven Design.
